Where We work

While Acts of Wisdom will help schools anywhere in the world where we can make an impact, we currently focus our efforts in three African countries. 

  • Ethiopia

    Ethiopia was the first country where Acts of Wisdom began its work in 2013. What started with a single school has grown into a network of four elementary schools serving more than 5,000 students.

    As one of Africa’s largest and most diverse nations, Ethiopia is home to a rich tapestry of cultures, languages, and communities. Our work there reflects this diversity—partnering closely with local leaders and educators to expand access to quality education, strengthen schools, and create pathways of hope for children and families. Through long-term relationships and sustained investment, Acts of Wisdom continues to walk alongside Ethiopian communities as education transforms lives and futures.

  • Liberia

    Liberia became part of the Acts of Wisdom story in 2020, marking our expansion to Africa’s west coast. We began by partnering with Ruach Life Educational Center, a small but promising school serving just 60 students at the time.

    Since then, through strong local partnership and sustained investment, the school has grown to serve more than 150 students in Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade. Building on this momentum, Acts of Wisdom is now in the process of constructing a brand new school campus—a transformational step that will allow us to serve over 700 students and dramatically expand access to quality education in the surrounding community.

    This growth reflects our commitment to long-term impact: listening first, strengthening local leadership, and investing in education that changes not only individual lives, but entire communities.

  • Kenya

    Kenya became part of the Acts of Wisdom family in 2025 through a unique partnership with Solai Coffee. Together, this partnership supports more than 800 students at Solai Nyakinyua Elementary School in the Solai community.

    Through this innovative model, profits from coffee sales are reinvested directly into education. In a short period of time, Acts of Wisdom has helped provide Wi-Fi access, school books, teacher supplies, and laptops, equipping both students and educators with tools that expand learning and opportunity. This work reflects our commitment to creative, sustainable partnerships that connect economic empowerment with long-term educational impact.

Our Impact

At Acts of Wisdom, our goal is not simply to support schools—but to help the schools we serve become some of the strongest and most effective in their communities. Through long-term partnership and strategic investment, we are seeing measurable, life-changing results.

By providing school books and supplies, expanding classrooms, building libraries, equipping teachers with the resources they need, and increasing access to technology, Acts of Wisdom is creating sustainable environments where students can thrive. Together, our impact includes:

  • Reduced dropout rates from 35% to less than 1% (0.9%) across our schools

  • Served more than 7,000 students through our education partners

  • Delivered over 65,000 school books into classrooms and libraries

  • Established programs that help young girls stay in school

  • Launched computer labs in both Liberia and Kenya

  • Started a school feeding program in Liberia

  • Expanded classrooms, strengthened infrastructure, and begun construction on a new two-story school
